WHAT IS PASH RASH?
Pash rash is Australia’s name for the quiet aftermath of kissing, a trace of romance left behind as skin meets skin, often shaped by friction and facial hair.
A pash is a deep, enthusiastic kiss, not a peck, not a polite smooch, but a full-commitment, lean-in-like-you-mean-it snog. Add in a beard or some stubble, and suddenly your face is being gently but persistently exfoliated against someone else’s jawline. The result? Red, irritated skin that looks a bit like a friction burn and feels like your face has lost a small but meaningful argument.
In short: pash rash is what happens when chemistry is strong, facial hair is strong, and your skin is the weakest link.
Pash rash is the small, visible consequence of living a very human life, one filled with connection, passion, and the occasional do-it-for-the-plot decision.
Pash Rash Mag was created as a space for creatives to unpack that same humanity. A place to share thoughts, feelings, and experiences tied to being alive right now: the mess, the intimacy, the self-doubt, the joy. It’s meant to feel familiar, open, and honest; somewhere people can recognise themselves in others and connect over the marks life leaves behind, even when they fade.
